Where this began

After the storm,
the gaps became visible.

Ho'opili Hua is rooted in community recovery after the Kona Low storms affected Waialua.

Neighbors knew who needed help. Farmers knew what was damaged. Organizations held resources. But the path between those people was not always clear. This network is being built to make that path more direct, more local, and more human.

The long view reaches beyond emergency response: stronger farms, shared knowledge, prepared households, and resilient relationships in every ahupuaʻa.
